The Music Icon Embraces a Hell Version of Herself in Fictional Documentary First Look
Charli XCX is getting ready for a significant film appearance in 2026, beginning with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, Charli portrays what she refers to as a hell version of her public image.
It’s the realest depiction of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, Charli commented.
She clarified in a conversation: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept came from the demand to produce one.
An Early Look into The Project
The first teaser, released on recently, blends authentic footage from her live performances with imagined behind-the-scenes moments.
The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by her collaborator, who shared that the story centers on a reality where the artist took completely different paths in the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.

The film is only one of many upcoming movie projects for the musician, who has featured in three festival films recently.

The following year will also see the star together with Olivia Wilde in sensual story I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in terror reimagining Faces of Death.
She also signed on to star in Dakota Johnson’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.
I’m thoroughly loving my cinematic path, the performer shared. I feel very, very inspired at the moment in this area, and I solely want to do things that inspire me.
Soundtrack Involvement
Next February will also see the debut of Emerald Fennell’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from Charli.
Additionally, she will compose the score for the story Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch soon.
The Moment will be released on the 30th of January.
